The acts behind it

The 1995–2011 figures are computed from the increment the act states, not read off a published table: no official year-by-year table covers them, because Sodra’s begins in 2012. They reconcile exactly with the first row of the statutory table — adding one year’s increment to the 2011 values gives the 2012 ages the law itself sets.

Method and caveats

This page is STATUTE, NOT STATISTICS. No statistical service publishes the retirement age as a series, because it is not measured — it is enacted. Every figure here is transcribed from the act that set it and every row links that act, so the whole table can be checked against the law rather than against us. Ages are shown in years and months because that is how the schedule moves. Years the acts could not be confirmed for are left out and listed as gaps rather than interpolated.
