Employer wages

Type an employer and we'll show you the average wage it reported for its staff, how many people it insures and how that has changed since 2018. The figures are Sodra's, gross, before tax. The average covers everyone insured that month, part-timers included, so it is often lower than a full-time salary.

We don't show employers whose name is a person's name (individual enterprises, farms, lawyers' and notaries' offices), or employers Sodra publishes no average for (3 employees or fewer).

How it's counted

These are the insurable earnings the employer declared to Sodra for work under employment contracts. Gross — before tax.

The average is taken over everyone insured that month. That includes part-timers, and people who started or left in the middle of the month.

When an employer insures 3 people or fewer, Sodra publishes no average, so that no one person's pay shows through.

The data runs a month or two behind: a month is published only once Sodra has all its declarations in.

We work out the sector and municipality medians ourselves, from the same Sodra figures — over the averages of every employer in the same month. With fewer than 5 employers in a group, we leave the median out.
